November Luncheon: Fundraising Feast @ Foodbank HQ

FUNDRAISING FEAST @ FOODBANK HQ!!

A SKAL LUNCHEON NOT TO BE MISSED! PROUDLY SUPPORTING FOODBANK OF TASMANIA.

Skal International Hobart is supporting Foodbank of Tasmania again this month by holding its annual monthly networking luncheon at their warehouse to promote and raise awareness of their work, with funds raised donated to Foodbank of Tasmania. Foodbank supports more than 200 welfare and relief agencies around the State and supplies 96 schools with breakfast packs for nearly 4000 children every day.

Our host Ed Gauden – Chief Executive Director of Foodbank of Tasmania, will have the warehouse dressed up and ready to welcome us all with the help of Salters Hire. Waji is bringing his kitchen to cook on premises assisted by TasTAFE cookery students from Drysdale, served by Cert III Hospitality students. Waji has truly created a spectacular feast for the senses!

Canapés
Thai quail scotch egg with satay sauce
Lemongrass , tomato and chilli consommé with seared scallop
Steamed prawn on guacamole and rye toast

Main food
Gin cured salmon on horseradish,Dijon mustard,olive oil,chives ,fried capers and rye bread

Chilli squid and prawns on a warm couscous,coriander and olive salad with shellfish oil

Confit of turkey breast,pine nut and tarragon mousse finished with turkey glaze butter sauce

Salad
Baby cos ,radicchio, parsley, herbs, garlic chives, pickled grapes and mustard dressing

Buttered pink eye potatoes
Braised baby white turnips
